Visit to Brigit’s Garden, a Celtic heritage and mythology themed contemporary garden
Visit to Aughanure Castle, outside Oughterard. Built in 1546 as a stronghold of the O'Flaherty clan
12h00 Boat cruise to Inchagoill Island and the village of Cong on Lough Corrib. (Please note : this cruise not available on Tuesdays). On the island -view some of the earliest European writings. Return to cruise on Lough Corrib, passing Ashford castle and onto Lislougrey pier. Optional gentle walking for 1km into Cong village to view Cong Abbey ruin and the 13th century medieval Ashford Castle.

Return via ferry to pier at Oughterard
The 4 * Currarevagh House Hotel in Oughterard, provides tonight’s dinner and accommodation, and can be followed by a visit to one of Oughterard’s character pubs.

11h30 Ferry transfer to Inishbofin Island, the Island of the ‘White Cow’
Visit to Inishbofin Island, inhabited as far back as 8000 – 4000 B.C. Walk for 3 to 4 hours in a timeless landscape with historical and pre-historical sites.
Return ferry to Cleggan village
Travel to Clifden town
Accommodation for the next 2 nights is at the 4* Abbeyglen Castle Hotel
Dinner is at your hotel tonight. Afterwards enjoy a traditional musical evening in one of the many lively pubs in town.
