Come and experience golfing in wild Connemara in the west of Ireland. Play on the edges of the Atlantic Ocean while taking in the breathtaking views of the mountains, lakes, seas and Irish bogs. Connemara Championship Links is an awesomely picturesque 27 hole, par 72 links golf course, in Ballyconneely, designed by Eddie Hackett. On day three we depart for north Connemara to Renvyle House Hotel and their 9 hole golf course for the morning. The next day we go onto the 18 hole parklands course of the Oughterard Golf Club, situated between Lough Corrib and the Connemara Mountains. On day five we head to south Connemara to Carna and the unique island Connemara Isles Golf Club’s 9 hole golf course for the morning.

Day 1: Welcome and arrival
Arrive in town of Clifden, Connemara; situated 78km from Galway. Clifden is the perfect base to explore Connemara’s rich landscape and heritage.
Check in and welcome at your accommodation.
Explore Connemara’s capital and largest town on the wild Atlantic sea. Take a stroll to romantic ruin of Clifden Castle overlooking the bay or drive to the stunning Connemara National Park only 11miles away.

Day 2: Connemara Championship Links Golf Course
After a hearty Irish breakfast we depart for the day to this awesomely picturesque 27 hole, par 72 links course, designed by Eddie Hackett.
Enjoy lunch at the clubhouse which overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and offers panoramic views of the beautiful course and the unique Connemara landscape.
Return to Clifden for dinner and some character full Irish folklore and legend storytelling in the pub.
Day 3: Renvyle House Golf Course and visit to Kylemore Abbey
After your standard hearty Irish breakfast we depart for north Connemara to Renvyle House Hotel and their 9 hole golf course for the morning. Enjoy lunch at the historic country house hotel known for its excellent and award winning food.
Depart for a visit to the fascinating Kylemore Abbey and Victorian Walled Gardens. Explore the walled garden, see bananas and grapes grow in the glass houses just as they did in the 1800s, wander the many lakeshore and woodland walks in the 1000 acre estate. View the restored rooms of the Abbey and Gothic church.
Return to Clifden for dinner at one of the very many restaurants in the town.
Day 4: Oughterard Golf Course
Another hearty Irish breakfast, then we depart for a scenic drive to Oughterard and their 18 hole golf course for the day. A parklands course, it is situated between Lough Corrib and the Connemara Mountains to give a truly spectacular setting. Enjoy lunch at the clubhouse with its magnificent views over the course.

Day 5: Connemara Isles Golf Club
Today, after breakfast, we head to south Connemara to Carna and the unique island Connemara Isles Golf Club’s 9 hole golf course for the morning. Located in the heart of the Gaeltacht, practice your ‘cúpla focail’ and enjoy lunch in the thatched seaside clubhouse - the ancestral home of the founders of the Club.
Return to Clifden for a relaxing afternoon. We recommend you visit some of the local attractions and are happy to recommend.

Day 6: Departure
Have another delicious Irish breakfast and we wish you goodbye, safe travels and hope to see you back in Connemara very soon.

The Vickers Bar Restaurant commemorates the incredible transatlantic flight by Alcock and Brown that landed nearby and changed aviation forever. All the bedrooms are en suite, the Coffee Shop has free WIFI and you can watch the world go by outside on the decking area.The town playground is a 10 minute walk away should the kids need to play a bit.
All of our prices are per person based on 2 people sharing a room. If your party requires single rooms they are available at a supplement and we can also accommodate solo walkers.
The single supplement is to cover the additional costs of a single room or single occupancy of a twin or double room, and of providing a set of maps and an information pack for one rather than two people.
