Product Description

The gardens of Connemara range in size and style, from formal to wild.  Many feature exotic plants which were imported at the turn of the twentieth century and others have concentrated on the discovery and preservation of gardens which are over 300 years old. Immerse yourself in the beauty and tranquillity of some of Connemara’s finest gardens. We explore the magnificent Kylemore Abbey and their 6 acre Victorian Walled and the lovely gardens of Rosleague Manor, the native woodland and flowers of the Anglers Return garden, Ballynahinch Castle, which comprise 450 acres of beautiful woodlands, gardens, lakes and rivers, the informal country house style gardens of Cashel House which date from 1840, Errisbeg House and their 3 acre beautiful colourful rambling and rocky garden, the gardens of Renvyle House Hotel and their woodlands, herb gardens and orchards. We then go to the wonderfully contemporary Celtic themed Brigit’s Garden, set within 11 acres of native woodland & wildflower meadows and then onto the 5 acre private garden of Ardcarraig, where rare and unusual plants mingle happily with native species.
