Direct flights from North America and Europe operate all year round to Dublin with a limited number to Shannon. Drive times from Dublin and Shannon are 4 hours and 3 hours respectively to safely reach Connemara. Other regional airports include Galway and Knock and connecting flights can be arranged from Dublin but again flights are less frequent and could involve a delay or even an overnight stop in Dublin. The simplest way to reach Connemara from the main airports is to pre-book car hire and then drive to Galway city and then take the Clifden Road (N59).
