Explore the stunning natural environment from your kayak of this scenic bay on the Wild Atlantic Way at the foot of Errisbeg mountain. Your knowledgeable local guide will tell you about the local area as you kayak safely across the bay. For the more experienced kayakers enjoy kayaking over to deserted Inishlacken island with your guide. See the abandoned ruins and houses on this unique island, famed for its yearly artist retreat and fascinating local history. Take in the beautiful vistas of the surrounding rugged land and seascapes before returning to the harbour of the colourful fishing village of Roundstone.

  • Departure time: Morning session 10h00-12h30. Afternoon session 14h30 -17h00 Departure point: Roundstone Harbour pier to start the kayaking.. Parking available in public car park in Roundstone village, County Galway H91 EV10 Meet your guide at the Roundstone Community Centre to gear up. Please arrive 20 mins before start time.
  • Please note the travel time to this meet point in Roundstone village, County Galway. The drive time to meet point from Galway city is approximately 1 hour 20 minutes. Please arrive 20 mins before start time. Please bring a pair of shoes you don’t mind getting wet, a towel and change of clothes.
